Role purpose

The ideal candidate will rely on data to solve everyday business problems. They will provide relevant insights to help our company make better decisions, address key challenges and concerns, and identify new ways to grow.

 

The role holder will identify business’ needs and develop plans that determine the direction of our company and its goals. They will gather, review and test data and apply many measures to provide solutions to critical business issues and decisions.

 

Ultimately, the Strategy Analyst will assist in the development of pricing strategies and models and identifying possible new growth initiatives by working closely with product, sales, brands, and business development teams to increase market share.

 

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Track Strategic, Operational and Commercial KPIs and have the ability to understand why metrics are performing the way they are.
  • Manage positioning research, analyse potential markets for expansion, and publish monthly analysis of brand performance.
  • Support the development of continuously evolving strategies aimed at supporting Hudson Group’s rapid expansion.
  • Partner with functional leaders to provide strategic resource planning direction.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis, research, financial and commercial modelling and deliver actionable insights to guide decision making.
  • Drive and support various business processes and provide updates to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute projects independently and deal with a high degree of ambiguity and change.
  • Assist on preparation of decks, market and competitor analysis and support of drafting agendas when needed.

 

KPIs

  • Develop, Monitor and Update Brand Performance KPIs
  • Support the setting of yearly Brand Targets
  • Set-up and update monthly brand performance reports for management
  • Conduct market research and analyze market and industry trends

 

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate’s Degree in business, business administration, computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, financial planning, investment banking, strategy or a high growth start-
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Looker, SQL, Power BI);
  • Intellectually curious: you pursue learning opportunities for yourself and dive into unexplored areas of the business.
  • Financial prowess: Experience with or understanding of a P+L and Cashflow.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enhanced analytical and critical thinking ability.
  • Comfortable negotiating and collaborating with others.
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Malta.
