Role Overview:
The Nike Visual Merchandiser plays a crucial role in enhancing the brand image and driving sales through effective visual merchandising strategies. They are responsible for creating visually appealing displays that showcase Nike products in retail stores, outlets, and other relevant environments. The primary objective is to capture customers’ attention, communicate the brand’s story, and inspire them to make purchases.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Visual Merchandising Concepts: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and retail operations, to develop innovative visual merchandising concepts aligned with Nike’s brand guidelines and strategies.
- Create and Implement Visual Displays: Design and execute visually impactful displays, window displays, and in-store presentations that effectively showcase Nike products and collections. This involves arranging merchandise, props, signage, and graphics to create an engaging and inspiring shopping experience.
- Maintain Visual Standards: Ensure consistent visual standards across different retail locations by conducting regular store visits and providing guidance to store staff. Train and educate store teams on visual merchandising guidelines, best practices, and product knowledge.
- Monitor and Analyse Performance: Track the performance of visual merchandising initiatives and displays, analysing sales data and customer feedback to evaluate their effectiveness. Make necessary adjustments and recommendations to optimize the visual presentation and drive sales results.
- Visual Merchandising Guidelines: Contribute to the development and updates of visual merchandising guidelines, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with the brand’s image and objectives.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with retail store managers, regional managers, and other relevant stakeholders to understand their specific needs and align visual merchandising strategies with business goals.
- Stay Up to Date with Industry Trends: Stay informed about the latest retail and visual merchandising trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the visual presentation of Nike products.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in the retail industry, with a strong focus on apparel and footwear.
- Brand Alignment: Passion for the NIKE brand and a deep understanding of its products, target audience, and brand aesthetic.
- Creative Flair: Exceptional creative and artistic skills, with an eye for detail, color, balance, and composition.
- Trend Awareness: Proven ability to stay updated on industry trends and translate them into innovative visual merchandising concepts.
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and store personnel.
- Organization and Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities and strategies.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in visual merchandising software, CAD tools, and Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
