Role purpose
As the Group Marketing Manager your role is pivotal in driving the success and visibility of our NIKE Brand across all territories. Reporting directly to the NIKE Brand Director, you will serve as the main marketing point of contact, ensuring alignment, and driving brand awareness, consumer engagement, and operational effectiveness. Your strategic leadership will contribute to the overall growth and success of our marketing initiatives on both group and country levels.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Main marketing point of contact for our NIKE Brand.
- Ensure visibility and direction on NIKE’s key marketing concepts and initiatives in the organization
- Drive brand awareness and consumer engagement through innovative and impactful marketing strategies.
- Liaise with commercial and operations teams to identify and ensure key concepts and go to market priorities
- Drive the segments’ budgeting process and manage and allocate marketing budgets effectively to achieve the best ROI.
- Develop a commercially aligned, overarching marketing plan and calendar on the group level
- Ensure alignment and deployment of the central marketing calendar on the country level
- Set and monitor brand/channel specific KPIs
- Monitor and analyse marketing performance using data and metrics, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Represent and guide the localization process based on the country specifics and operational individualities
- Build channel specific marketing solutions and activations (mono/multibrand retail, ecom, wholesale)
- Ensure marketing assets, creatives and content is available and distributed across the organization
- Distribute/develop brand guidelines across the organization
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed and executed
- Monitor and analyse performance across the activations, sharing best practices across the organization.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications
- At least 5-year experience in Brand marketing; preferably with a strong knowledge of sports /fashion environment
- Goal oriented, flexible, and creative – often while juggling several projects at once.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive brand awareness and engagement.

- Experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans.
- Experience in working across multiple markets
- Experience in working within African markets
- Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and optimize KPIs.
- Understanding of the localization process and channel-specific marketing solutions.

- Strong project management and communication skills
- Fluent in English.
