Chief Financial Officer

Role purpose

To lead the group’s finance function, provide accurate and timely information to ensure correct decision making and drive the financial performance of the Group.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• Driving an effective and efficient structure for the finance function
• Provides effective direction on finance function across the Group’s entities
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for the Group, including consolidation
• Lead the financial forecasting and budgeting process across the Group
• Evaluate, monitor and control the organization’s financing requirements and capital structure to ensure cash flows management that ensures the organization is well funded for current and future operations
• Ensure compliance with the statutory, tax and legal requirements
• Manage the relationship with external stakeholders such as financial institutions, auditors and other service providers
• Drive the risk strategy for the Group and manage and control such risks including exchange, credit and liquidity
• Responsible to implement effective internal controls across the Group and report thereon
• Manages the general procurement function
• Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team on investments and strategy
• Leads the establishment of subsidiaries in any jurisdiction

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience: 

• Qualified Warranted Accountant.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller position in a Group
• Able to lead large, multiple disciplinary teams.
• Strong financial and accounting background, including debt finance, cash flow management, exchange rate risk and financial planning.
• Experience in interacting with board of directors.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to inspire confidence and create trust, understand new issues quickly and make informed decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and lead effectively.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
