Role purpose

The HR Generalist at Hudson is responsible for supporting the Human Resources function across Malta, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, HR systems, and compliance. The HR Generalist will act as a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures to drive organizational success.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for our Malta staff, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Work with department managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with labour laws and company standards.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions in cases of employee disputes or disciplinary issues.
  • Stay up to date with changes in labour laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  • Maintain and update employee records on HR systems and in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese labour law and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in English is a must.
