Role purpose: You will be working in the heart of a transformation of our company’s BI tools and reporting capabilities as part of the Hudson team leading this data centralization in one repository and one version of truth cross our territories. You will be working closely with business analysts, senior managers and experienced third-parties.
Key accountabilities:
- Reports definition – You will be responsible to capture reporting requirements from business analysts & different stakeholders including visualization requirements, reporting figures , metrics and KPIs, required calculations and respective data needs.
- Reports design – You will be responsible to identify the required dimensions & metrics and design the report visualization.
- Reports development – As a skilled Powerbi developer you will be responsible to create reports in PowerBI based on datasets , enhance the readily available datamarts based on DWH data. Drive the discussions with data engineer on insourcing and modeling the data outside DWH as per reporting needs.
- Support business analysts & business stakeholders with ad-hoc reports via Powerbi with data on different Microsoft available tools, datasets and analytics views including Dynamics Sales (CRM), Commerce, Finops or Azure SQL database. Identify this way reporting gaps to add in the reporting backlog.
- Automate – Identify offline data analysis activities due to different templates required from different departments or analysts working in silos , introducing these metrics and reporting figures in standard reports available cross the company . Identify data gaps in sources and work closely with Data engineers, IT and third parties to introduce these data into the BI Azure tools serving analytics (Azure data lake, SQL databases or DWH).
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Statistics, Maths, Computer Science or equivalent Business or related field.
- 5+ years expertise as Data analyst and/or Powerbi Developer
- Essential : Advanced Knowledge of Power BI
- DAX language (creation of measures)
- Proficient data visualization skills
- Meticulous in data validation
- Good at creation of technical and business documentations (definitions, measures descriptions..)
- Good understanding of SQL databases & Datasets & Azure Data lake
- Experience working with TSQL, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, MSBI
- Data analysis techniques & skills on descriptive and predictive analytics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft enterprise products and development tools and methodologies.
- Waterfall/Agile/Scrum methodologies, etc. experience with traditional SDLC methodologies
- Ability to align and complete project deliverables according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
