Ecommerce Graphic Designer

Role purpose:  Collaborate with Digital team to develop creative solutions and then translate these into concepts through a variety of channels whilst ensuring consistency of brand identities. The designer will execute layouts/marketing assets for homepage features, landing pages, digital marketing, social media, site banners, packaging, product labels, newsletters, mobile, email blasts, etc.

Key accountabilities

  • Participate in strategy brainstorms and creative concept development;
  • Meet with relevant internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and then provide mock-ups of requested jobs;
  • Apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity;
  • Create communications and adverts for Hudson online platforms, by thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts where necessary;
  • Manage production from conception to completion;
  • Work with the internal stakeholders to modify, localise and repurpose design assets for various products and campaigns;
  • Assist in layout and artwork of the graphic elements on the website – working cooperatively to ensure a consistent ‘voice’ is implemented
  • Utilise an understanding of contemporary web trends and techniques in design of engaging web elements
  • Understand online target audience and apply design strategy to layouts
  • Understand brand and retail digital strategies
  • Outsource illustration, graphic design and photography services as necessary;
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design / Web Design.
  • Background in creative fields within retail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience required.
  • Previous video editing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in working with numerous design platforms and email campaigns.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and other web technologies required
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Must have strong work ethic and be able to take direction, be open-minded to change and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
