Responsible for the organisation of effective planning and execution of all the Group’s marketing activities in accordance with the Brand philosophy, policies and procedures and as directed by EHQ. Tell Nike’s stories of innovation and sport through channels ranging from retail stores to social media digital engagement.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Develop holistic annual and seasonal marketing calendar of brand initiatives for the Group;
  • Work with central merch team and sales team to craft a strategic vision for the account, driving the development and implementation of content and experiences both digitally and physically for the consumer.
  • Contribute to seasonal planning process as it relates to the channels of distribution, retail concepts and key accounts; including leading, contributing, and driving the seasonal plan for key product stories.
  • Work with merch team to understand design, innovation and points of distinction for key product stories to be told across account digital and retail channels.
  • Think digital first, ensuring there is a seamless Omni-channel consumer journey
  • Act as the coordinator between the Nike HQ and country Marketing managers helping them develop and correctly execute the seasonal and category marketing programs, ensuring cross-functional alignment between marketing, VM, product, retail and sales;
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external partners (marketing, product, VM, sales, services, retailers and agencies);
  • Conduct market research among focused marketplaces to determine insights into existing and future consumer trends relevant to the Brand – analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information;
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results and ensure that marketing activity is within agreed budget;
  • Support the development of direct employees and in country Brand Managers.

Key performance indicators :

  • Annual Brand category concept map and on time seasonal market executions
  • Milestones achieved against annual and seasonal marketing plans
  • Budget management

Requirements:

  • Ideally hold a Degree in Sales or Marketing or relevant tertiary education;
  • Ideally have related experience in a similar role;
  • Ideally have experience working in an international environment;
  • Must be able to communicate fluently (written and orally) in English and French whilst additional languages (particularly North African) are highly desirable;
  • Must have strong abilities in Microsoft Office products; e.g. Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
