 Role purpose

The role holder will be responsible for supporting in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.  

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows: 

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy for head office roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires. 

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and workforce planning strategies. 

  • Utilize various recruitment channels and innovative sourcing techniques to attract top talent. 

  • Maintain and develop relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and universities to build a strong talent pipeline. 

  • Implement and manage an efficient applicant tracking system (ATS) to streamline the recruitment process. 

  • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on hiring progress and effectiveness. 

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. 

  • Provide guidance and support to international offices on best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition. 

 Employee Relations (ER):

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues at the head office, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions. 

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies while handling employee concerns and grievances. 

  • Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote positive employee relations and a healthy work environment. 

  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or issues and recommend appropriate action. 

  • Provide support and guidance to HR teams in other countries on ER matters, ensuring consistency and alignment with global HR practices. 

  • Regularly review and update employee policies and procedures to reflect changes in legislation and best practices. 

  • Coach and support line managers and employees on employee relations and HR policies to promote understanding and compliance. 

  • Support change management initiatives and provide coaching to managers on effective employee engagement strategies. 

 Global HR Support:

  • Partner with HR representatives in other countries to ensure alignment of HR strategies and practices with the overall business goals. 

  • Assist in developing and implementing global HR initiatives and projects. 

  • Provide expertise and support in areas such as employee engagement, performance management, and talent development across regions. 

  • Monitor global HR trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive in the market. 

 Core competencies, knowledge, and experience  

  • A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or any other related field 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an HR environment with knowledge on the relevant Employment Legislations 

  • A trustworthy individual who will be dealing with confidential and sensitive information 

  • Must have a positive and can-do attitude and be able to work independently 

  • Computer literate and is confident in using general MS Office applications, particularly outlook, excel and word 

  • Has an eye for detail, is accurate and can manage all tasks in a timely manner and within the required deadlines 

  • Is well spoken and fluent in English  

  • Must have strong organisational and problem-solving skills
