Role purpose

Reporting to the Technical Lead and working with a team of IT specialists, the role requires being conversant with a wide range of standard hardware and software, and providing for the local expertise in Networking, Desktop and Communication technologies.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Provide day to day user support and administration for Desktop, Communication and Server technology
  • First point of contact for IT support, infrastructure projects, local management, and vendors/supplier coordination
  • Maintenance responsibility of all IT equipment in Retail Stores (Point of Sales, Music, etc.)
  • Maintenance responsibility of all IT equipment in Hudson sites (Server room, UPS, Meeting Rooms AV Setup, Mobile Phones etc.)
  • Ensuring the regulatory policies are followed
  • Provide support with troubleshooting and solving user problems, whilst maintaining good relations with end users.
  • Manage and maintain IT Assets and Service Catalog
  • Take ownership of system and service monitoring in Internal IT – focus on implementing and continued improvement
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work within an ITIL framework
  • Assistance to remote teams for various network and security related changes

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience.

  • Should be able to work on own initiative, be willing to learn and improve own skills, and proactively identify innovative IT solutions for the continual improvement of business processes.
  • An excellent understanding of MS Windows Platforms & Office Applications
  • Operational knowledge of IT hardware and software
  • Knowledge on Administration of Office365 and Cloud services
  • Experience in Virtualization background, PABX, website management systems
  • Experience on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is considered an asset
  • Familiar with Network Topologies
  • Strong organisation and communication skills in English Language

Qualifications

  • A valid Cisco CCNA certificate 200-301, or any valid core or specialization exam 300 / 350 -xxx
  • A valid Microsoft Certificate, MD-102 or higher.
  • Linux LX0-104, LPIC-1 or higher will be considered an asset.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Any Public cloud certifications, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services (AWS), will be considered as an asset.
