Alfie Borg unveils HEART: a bold celebration of emotion and generosity at the Museum of Illusions

Alfie Borg, Founder and Chairman of Hudson Group, has launched his latest solo exhibition, HEART, at St Julian’s Museum of Illusions, celebrating emotion, expression, and philanthropy through The Hudson Foundation. Subtitled “A Celebration of Emotion and Expression,” the exhibition marks a new milestone in Borg’s artistic journey.

Exploring the Spectrum of Human Emotion

HEART delves into the pulse of human feeling – from love and vulnerability to passion and courage. Through vibrant colour, pop art influences, and expressive forms, Borg captures the complexity of emotion in ways that are both intimate and universal.

“HEART is a journey through the emotions that make us human – it’s about what drives us, connects us, and makes us feel alive,” Borg said at the opening. The event was attended by family, art enthusiasts, business leaders, and representatives from Maltese charities. Guests described the evening as visually powerful and emotionally stirring, with 100% of the pieces sold within just 24 hours, underscoring the strong connection viewers felt with the works.

Art That Gives Back

All proceeds from HEART are being donated to The Hudson Foundation, which seeks to “give a voice to the voiceless” across four pillars: children, dogs, art, and Mother Earth. Funds raised will support:

  • Aid for Ukrainian refugee children

  • The Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA)

  • Environmental projects at Park tal-Majjistral

  • Expansion of the playground at Inspire Malta, an NGO supporting people with disabilities

Charity representatives at the opening highlighted the tangible impact of the foundation’s support – from planting hundreds of trees to providing critical animal care and creating inclusive play spaces.

A Legacy of Creativity and Philanthropy

Borg is widely recognised as the driving force behind Hudson Group, Malta’s leading fashion and sports retailer representing global brands such as Nike, H&M, Crocs, Kiabi, Sports Direct, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Mango, Colombia, Armani AX, Urban Jungle, and Urban Bratz. His artistic pursuits run in parallel with his business success. What began as a personal exploration has evolved into a platform for advocacy and giving.

Previous exhibitions, including Legends (2022), Juxtapose (2023), and Spirit of Resilience (2024), also donated 100% of proceeds to causes under The Hudson Foundation.

By blending artistic vision with social purpose, Borg continues to model leadership that balances creativity, compassion, and action. As one guest remarked, “You leave this exhibition not just inspired by the art – but by what it represents.”

HEART is displayed at Mercury Mall from 21st November to the 30th of November 2025, where visitors can view the original artworks and the stories behind them. Limited edition framed prints are also available online at hudsonart4charity.org.
