Casablanca & Nairobi : 25 October 2026 – In a landmark moment for Hudson’s regional running strategy, Nike lit up Africa’s streets across two iconic cities on the very same day. From Morocco to Kenya, more than 60,000 runners felt the energy as Nike took over the Crédit du Maroc Casablanca Marathon and the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon, delivering powerful race‑day experiences, bold visibility, and deep community engagement in two territories where running is part of the culture.
Casablanca: Breaking the Wall and Elevating Morocco’s Running Culture
Hudson collaborated with the Crédit du Maroc Casablanca Marathon for the second consecutive year as a platinum partner, strengthening Nike’s connection to Morocco’s vibrant running community.
In the week leading up to race day, Hudson operated a Nike‑branded pop‑up store at the marathon expo, showcasing Nike’s three road‑running silos – Structure, Pegasus and Vomero – alongside the Alphafly racing shoe. A treadmill station invited runners to trial products and find the right gear for their race.
On the course, Nike’s presence was unmistakable – especially at the 30KM mark, known globally as “the wall”, the toughest point where runners fight to keep going. Nike owned that kilometre, transforming it into a motivational push to help runners break through and finish strong. At the finish line, the Nike stand offered a vibrant space for photos, content creation, and first‑come, first‑served Nike tote bags and bottles. Category winners were also awarded Nike products during the ceremony.
In the month leading up to the marathon, Hudson partnered with five local run clubs to host five trial runs, giving runners the chance to test Nike footwear and build momentum ahead of race day.
Nairobi: Powering Kenya’s Runners Through Their Toughest Kilometres
This year marked Hudson’s first collaboration with the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon – and the impact was immediate. The event kicked off with Hudson’s Kenya Country GM, Kieran, flagging off the 10KM race, setting the tone for a high‑energy day.
Along the route, Nike delivered strong visibility, including two branded arches at 14.5KM and 29.5KM – Nairobi’s version of “the wall”, where runners dig deep to push through the final stretch. A Nike water station, kilometre markers, and additional branding reinforced Nike’s commitment to Kenya’s passionate running community.
At the finish line, Hudson created a two‑zone Nike experience: a private winners’ area where podium finishers could relax and collect their Nike gifts, and an all‑participants zone offering refreshments, a relaxation space, and a content‑creation area for runners to capture their post‑race moments.
Ahead of race day, Hudson collaborated with a Nairobi run club to host two pre‑marathon runs, building awareness, excitement, and product trial within the community.
One Day, Two Cities: Nike Unites Africa Through Sport
With both marathons taking place on the same day, Hudson and Nike delivered a powerful statement across Africa: two cities, one weekend, and thousands of runners united by sport. From Casablanca’s streets to Nairobi’s finish line, Nike’s presence elevated the running experience and strengthened Hudson’s commitment to supporting communities where running is part of everyday life.
