H&M to Open Its First Store in Malta on 14 November 2026

H&M, one of the world’s leading fashion brands, has announced that it will open its first store in Malta on 14 November 2026. The new store will be located at Regina, Tower Road, Sliema, one of the island’s most prominent shopping destinations.

The opening marks H&M’s official entry into the Maltese market, bringing the brand’s fashion and lifestyle offering to local customers and visitors. The store will feature a modern retail concept and offer customers access to the latest collections across fashion, activewear and home.

The Malta store will be operated by Hudson Holdings, a leading retail and distribution group headquartered in Malta. Hudson has been H&M’s franchise partner since 2025 and currently operates H&M stores in Morocco, including locations in Rabat and Marrakech. Building on the success of this partnership, H&M sees significant potential in the Maltese market and is pleased to continue its expansion alongside Hudson. With its extensive retail expertise in Malta and across Africa, combined with its deep understanding of local consumer preferences, Hudson is a strong partner to support H&M’s long-term growth in the market.

The new Sliema store will offer a wide range of fashion for women, men and kids, as well as H&M Move sportswear and H&M Home products for interior design and everyday living. Customers can look forward to the latest fashion trends, wardrobe essentials and seasonal collections with great value for money.

Chris Muscat, CEO of Hudson Holdings, said:

“The arrival of H&M in Malta represents a significant milestone for both Hudson and the local retail sector. H&M has been one of the most anticipated international brands among Maltese consumers for many years, and we are proud to bring this world-renowned brand to Malta. We look forward to creating a destination that offers customers an exceptional shopping experience in the heart of Sliema.”

Lia Tsampounieraki, Hudson’s Group Retail Business Manager for H&M, said:

“We are proud to introduce H&M to Malta and to welcome customers to our first newly designed store on the island. Malta is an attractive and dynamic market, and we look forward to offering customers fashion and quality at the best price. Our goal is to reflect H&M’s global ambition: to make the magic and power of fashion accessible to everyone.”

The opening will also create new employment opportunities and further strengthen Malta’s retail offering, contributing to the continued growth and development of the sector.

To mark this landmark occasion, H&M and Hudson will host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony ahead of the store opening. Customers can enjoy a vibrant launch-day atmosphere with live DJ entertainment. As a special thank you to early shoppers, the first 100 people in the queue before the store opens will receive gift cards worth up to €500 and complimentary refreshments, adding to the excitement of welcoming the iconic fashion brand to Malta.
