Kiabi Malta Supports Survivors of Domestic Abuse with Donation to Fondazzjoni Sebħ

As part of its ongoing commitment to creating a positive impact within the community, Kiabi, represented in Malta, Cyprus and Greece by Hudson Group, has donated €1,200 worth of Kiabi vouchers to Fondazzjoni Sebħ, Malta. These vouchers will be distributed among women and families currently residing within the foundation’s homes, all of whom are survivors of domestic abuse.

This initiative forms part of Kiabi Malta’s CSR programme, inspired by the brand’s global ethos of “Acts for a Better World”, which aims to support families in need and foster greater inclusivity, care, and compassion within society.

Through this contribution, Kiabi hopes to ease the burden on those supported by Fondazzjoni Sebħ, offering them the opportunity to purchase clothing and essentials during this difficult stage of their journey.

Speaking about this initiative, Hudson Group Marketing Specialist Estelle Spiteri said,

“When victims of domestic violence take the difficult step of leaving home, they often do so with little more than the bare essentials. Clothing is one of the immediate needs they require support with, which is why Kiabi felt it important to step in and provide support in this area. Through this donation, we hope to bring comfort and basic necessities to survivors as they begin to rebuild their lives”.

Speaking of behalf of Fondazzjoni Sebh, Kerry Hermitage, Family Services Senior Manager thanked Kiabi for this generous support –

“Whilst trying to heal from their trauma and seek a life free of abuse, this support will help our residents to be able to remove some of the burden of worrying about necessities. Also this support is additionally special as it gives the women dignity by being able to choose the items they need for themselves and their family, as well as knowing that others are thinking of them whilst they are going through this difficult time. So thank you Kiabi for making this possible and sharing the message that these women and families are seen and valued”.

This ethos is shared by Hudson Group’s foundation – The Hudson Foundation which is dedicated to improving the lives of children and vulnerable communities across its four main pillars: children, the environment, animals and most recently art.

Fondazzjoni Sebħ is a voluntary organisation providing a holistic residential service to survivors of violence and abuse. With a focus on care, empowerment, and rehabilitation, the foundation supports women who are alone, women with young children, as well as adolescents who are navigating life independently following experiences of trauma.
