There’s no stopping Hudson in Nigeria. Just a few months after Hudson Brand Development Nigeria opened the country’s first NIKE store, it has now opened the first Urban Jungle store – in the same Ikeja City Mall in Lagos.
This Urban Jungle will mark the 22nd store to open its doors in Europe and Africa. The opening was celebrated with an official event on Sunday 16th October, 2022, which was packed with celebs, influencers, and a host of sneaker lovers, who came together for this memorable evening. Amongst attendees were Kemi Smallz, Jimi Akinsola, Big Brother Naija’s Eloswag and Khalid, as well as Fresh L amongst others. There were also performances including dancers, Nas Magnificient FreeStyleFriday and Starboy BMX, a pro stunt master.

Urban Jungle is the brainchild of Hudson’s founder, Alfie Borg. Established in 1993, Urban Jungle is where sneakers and streetwear lovers meet music, fashion and art. Besides offering the best in street culture, Urban Jungle wants to make a positive impact within its surrounding community. Urban Jungle has in the past supported groups to play basketball after creating a new basketball court in Morocco and in Naples. “We want to know what the community wants here and what we can offer, to be present in the right way,” explains Gianluca.
Urban Jungle confirmed that their newly-opened store is only the first of many in Nigeria as the multi-brand store seeks to expand to other parts of the country.
